Clergy Thought: On this third Sunday of Easter, we proclaim that the risen Christ is the Lord. Today, through the celebration of the Eucharist, we affirm that He is the Lamb of sacrifice. Hence, He is worthy to be given all power, honour, and glory. Last week we heard that Jesus appeared to the gathered disciples in a locked room, probably in Jerusalem. In today's Gospel, they are in Galilee, returning to their work of fishing. Christ revealed himself to his disciples through the sacrifice of bread and wine. He continues to show Himself to us through the Holy Eucharist and in ordinary things of life. In the Eucharist, we too are fed by Jesus in the bread and wine that have become his very Body and Blood. The gifts we bring to the altar, bread and wine, are made from gifts that God gave first to us: grain and grapes, the fruit of the earth. As Jesus has fed Peter and the apostles in this meal and as Jesus feeds us in the Eucharist, so he also sends us to follow him, if we love him, asking that we offer our lives in service and sacrifice, to one another and to our society as a whole. The main church of our parish is St Henry Morse in Diss which was built in 2012 replacing the Church of The Most Holy Trinity on Stanley Road dating from 1952.

Included in the parish is the Carmel of Quidenham; it has its own website at https://quidenhamcarmel.org.uk .
